Selection of products
- The selection of products is dependent on the season and the production opportunities. Therefore, all products are not available at all times throughout the year.
- Many producers sell the same kind of products, e.g. meat sausages, good tallow etc. Therefore, it is important to bear in mind that the flavour, colour, size etc of the meat varies from farm to farm. If you do not like the dry meat from one farm, there’s probably nothing wrong with that meat. It’s a question of taste. We recommend you try different meats from different farms.
Delivery
- Delivery time is 1 – 4 weekdays.
- Certain reservations are to be made regarding bad weather conditions and local circumstances that can influence the possibilities of delivering the products.
- We only deliver products in the Faroe Islands.
- Each producer decides how his/her products can be delivered to the customer.
- There are different options of transport, e.g. the buyer can collect the products at the address of the producer, the product can be delivered with Posta or the producer delivers the products personally. In case of the last, there is a minimum sum. The delivery options will be visible during the purchase in the web shop.
- Bear in mind, when you buy products from several producers, there will be several transport expenses because the products are not located in one place.
Pricing
- All prices include value added tax ( 25% )
- The currency is DKK.
- Certain reservations are to be made regarding pricing mistakes.
Terms of payment
- op accepts payments by: Visa, Mastercard and Visa Electron.
- The order is executed within 24 hours on Mondays to Fridays.
- When you pay by card, you give the card number, card expiration date and card check digit. In that way, you allow Matkovin to extract the amount from your bank account.
- The payment will be extracted from the card only after the product has been dispatched.
- Matkovin make use of a secure payment supplier that encrypts all information with an SSL-protocol (Secure Socket Layer). This means that all data are safe and cannot be accessed and read by unauthorized persons.
Security/replacement/ the right to annul a contract or hire-purchase agreement
- Refrigerated and frozen foods are non-transferable
- Other products can be returned to the producers no later than 7 days from the receipts. In this case the products must be unused, faultless and still to be found in the original packing.

Claim rights
- In accordance with the Faroese law of commerce ( Keypilóg ), we give consumers two years for claims regarding products
- The claim rights apply to all defects in the material and the production.
- Claims about deficiencies can be sent to Matkovin no later than two months after date when the customer notices the deficiencies.
- We make refunds for reasonable transport expenses.
- If the product has been handled in a wrong or peculiar way, we do not deal with the claim.
- We do not receive products that have been sent COD ( cash on delivery).
- Notifications about return of products are to be made in writing to Matkovin’s email address: hey@matkovin.fo.
